A host of repeats also graced victory lane, including Randy Smithely of Bolivar in the Townsend Gas and Oil Late Models, Tyler Hite of Duncansville in the Jeff Dick Home Sales and Tim Laughard in the Brush Valley Tire Pure Stocks.
As the late models hit the track it was Jim Ivory and Billy Eash on th front row with Eash taking the lead and setting a torrid pace until the eight lap, when he came to a halt and pitted. This gave the lead over to Ivory, but he only held the top spot for five laps, as Randy Smithley dove under Ivory on lap 12 going into the first and second turns. Smithley out ran Ivory on the back stretch and had the lead off the fourth turn. He went on to win over Rudy Bassaro, Bill Krause, Ron Marsh and Ivory. Heat wins went to Billy Eash and Rick Strong.
The Fastr ak late models hit the oval with Kirby Tucker beating Tommy Snyder into the first turn at the start. Tucker only led the first lap as Gary Stahl moved to the lead with an inside pass off the fourth turn for the lead. While he was leading Snyder was trying to find a way into the lead, but he kept trying the inside and on the eight lap, Snyder made contact with Stahl, spinning Stahl.
Snyder was relegated to the rear and Stahl got his spot back as the green unfurled and out of the 13th spot came new comer Mike Pegher. The youngster from Wexford started 13th and by the ninth lap was chasing Stahl for the lead. Pegher went to the outside of Stahl and took the lead on lap ten and never looked back, as Stahl held off John Eckenrod for second. At the finish the top five were: Pegher, Stahl, Eckenrod, Daniel Angelicchio and Roger Laughlin. Heat wins went to Gary Stahl and Tommy Snyder.
The street stocks took to the oval it was Mike Laughard and Tyler Hite leading the field to the start with Hite taking the lead for the first lap. As Hite was leading the field was four wide fighting for position, when Laughard went into the lead off the fourth turn on lap two. He set the pace for two laps when Hite battled back and regained the lead on lap five. After he took the lead back Rick Henry battled for the lead, but then along came the #97 of Denny Keener who took the second spot and he pressured Hite, but when Bob Sullinger wav ed the checkered flag it was all Hite ahead of Keener, Henry, Jim Boyer and Matt Hugill. Heat wins went to Rick Henry and Jim Boyer.
John Mazey and Sam McAdams led the pure stocks to the start with McAdams leading the first three laps before Tim Laughard came from fifth to take the lead and once he was in command he kept Mazey as bay and picked up his fifth win of the season. Mazey was second with McAdams, Marshall Detwiler and Jeremy Shaffer completing the top five. Tim Laughard and Marshall Detwiler won the preliminaries.
The four cylinder sidewinders were led to the green by Dan Adams and Jason Bialowas. It was Bialowas who took the lead and set the pace for three laps before Jesse Laughard took the lead and while he led, he didn’t have an easy time, as Joe Petyak, Ray Hickok Jr., Adams, Chris Yoder, Adam Laughard, Paul Little and Mark Maglett were all racing under the proverbial blanket.
As the race continued Laughard was able to hold off all challengers and picked up his first win of the season. Once the top five sorted out it was Petyak in second with Yoder, Adam Laughard and Little completing the top five. Heat wins went to Joe Petyak, Adam Laughard and Jason Bialowas.
